The Kansas City Pipe Circle is a sister community to the Heartland Ayllu in the Kansas City Metro area, based upon spiritual practices of the First Nations Peoples of North America . The Circle meets monthly to share in sacred Pipe Ceremony as a community, as well as engaging in a ceremonial prayer dance once a year called the Stone People's Dance.
Stone Dance 2020:
The Stone People's Dance for 2020 was interrupted by the global Coronavirus pandemic, but the community did not let the situation get the better of this important, annual ceremony. For 2020, the Stone Dance became a virtual event where participants anchored the ceremonial dance in their own homes. Here are some pictures of the event and of the altars and medicine wheels participants made in their own homes to anchor the good medicine the community created together.
